Every year, several indigent Vietnamese students, who had to drop out of school because they could not financially afford it, nor having any other means to continue their education.

To solve this problem, developed countries invested many resources into their education system. Financial aids are available from the government educational fund, as well as from the private enterprises. In a country like Viet Nam, however, government resources are minimum, and financial aid available from the private sector is very limited. We could help these indigent students to continue their education with only 30 € (approximately 30 U.S. dollars), which will be used to pay for the school tuition and stationery for one child annually.

Aiming to provide the indigent students in Viet Nam with educational opportunities to prepare for their future integration in the society, we have established the Tournesol Association,“Developing financial aid projects to provide educational opportunities to indigent Vietnamese students. The organization will serve as a conduit between these students and a private philanthropy, or any charity group, who wants to contribute to our educational development projects…”(published in the official journal of the Republic of France, dated August 1st 1988).
